Normal Evolution is too cliche so lets have you Mega Evolve instead Grovyle 
Before I get comments about it... yes, I am well aware that Sceptile has a Mega Evolution but I love Grovyle more :3 Plus, my Mega Evo for Grovyle was created LONG before the remakes of Ruby/Sapphire came out.
As for how it was even possible for Grovyle to Mega Evolve; in the main games a Trainer and Pokemon must be connected by a strong bond right? Well in PMD Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky (which is where IT&D takes place) the Dimensional Scream requires a trusted partner. This being the case, Mega Evolution technically would work the same. However, in this case, not only was it due to the bond Sarah and Grovyle share, but also because Sarah was once a human and Grovyle her partner (so the trainer/pokemon bond) :3
As for why Grovyle is using Dragon Claw as a move; he, ONLY when Mega Evolved, gains access to Dragon Type attacks alongside his normal attacks.

I like this interpretation of the mega-evolution concept in the pmd world. And Mega-Grovyle looks pretty awesome to boot. :3
